The new issue of the Sinclair Lewis Society Newsletter is now out (Spring 2019). If you'd like a sample copy, e-mail Sally Parry at separry@ilstu.edu. Sinclair Lewis Society Virtual Presentations

During the COVID pandemic, the Society began to offer virtual meetings over Zoom. This page archives videos of those virtual presentations as well as other online presentations of interest to our members.

 

SLS 2022 Virtual Conference

The Sinclair Lewis Society held a virtual conference July 14-15, 2022 to celebrate the 102nd anniversary of the publication of Main Street and 100th anniversary of the publication of Babbitt. The keynote speaker was James Gambone, co-director and producer of The Life and Loves of Sinclair Lewis who spoke from the newly refurbished Sinclair Lewis Boyhood Home, courtesy of the Sinclair Lewis Foundation. Sinclair Lewis, His Life, Work and Relevance, November 19, 2020

Patrick Coleman, Acquisitions Librarian for the Minnesota Historical Society, presented "Sinclair Lewis, His Life, Work, and Relevance" on November 19, 2020. The event, which welcomed Sinclair Lewis Society members, was sponsored by the Ramsey County Historical Society.

Mr. Lewis Goes to China, May 22, 2020

The Sinclair Lewis Society's first virtual Sinclair Lewis presentation, held Friday, May 22, 2020, featured Dr. Chen Ying, a scholar from Inner Mongolia University, China, who presented "Mr. Lewis Goes to China: Studying Sinclair Lewis's Novels in China." Lewis scholars and enthusiasts from Maine to California enjoyed her presentation and engaged in a lively conversation.
